Billbergia brasiliensis AROID tubular rosette with narrow outerA beautiful helicoid Billbergia from Brazil. Previously called Bil. kuhlmannii, it is a tall grower to about 24 inches, grayish green with silver cross banding. The leaves are thick and succulent, growing in a tight, tubular shape with the leave flaring or curling at the tips. The inflorescence is stunning, with large pink bracts, white ovaries and recoiling clock spring purple petals.
